OLD BRUTUS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Hello from Weedsport/Brutus Historian Jeanne Baker. The Old Brutus Historical Society and our related museum enjoy financial support from both the village and the town. We are grateful for this support, without which we possibly couldn’t survive. Our museum is open from 9a.m. to noon on Mondays and Tuesdays and other times by appointment we have a special program at 7:30p.m. On the 3rd Monday of the month from March to November which is free and open to anyone. You may have noticed the construction going on at the museum and wondered what we are up to? The outdated front lobby has been made into a beautiful Victorian parlor. The walls have been framed, insulated, sheet rocked, and papered. 3 layers of floor removed and the amazing hardwood floor refinished. All woodwork was replaced, or repainted, and considerable electric work was done—Come check it out! Our upcoming activities may be found online or on Facebook at Old Brutus Historical Society.
